Bell & Gossett Triple Duty Valves
Bell & Gossett Triple Duty Valves:
One doesn’t become a brand without reason; it takes out-of-the-box solutions, superior quality and easy to afford products to become a brand. We are the most sought after brand for hydronic and hydraulic systems since we provide latest technology for affordable prices. Now, we present much superior valves –The Bell & Gosset Triple Duty Valves.
The Bell & Gosset Triple Duty Valve is called so because it combines the function of three systems and reduces both first time cost and installation costs. The three valves it combines are the balance valve, the non-slam check valve and the positive shut-off valve.
Why should you use a triple duty valve in the first place?
The latest hydronic systems as standardized by ASHRAE are proportionally balanced to minimize throttling losses and then either the pump impeller is trimmed or the speed of the pump is adjusted to meet the design flow conditions. Now, even though this system is quite advanced, there will still be a need for a check valve and an isolation valve on the discharge side of the pump.
Now, if you need to install these two pumps, you will require separate piping which would lead to additional purchase, installation and labor costs. Not to mention, you still need regular maintenance of all the piping and plumbing.
Seeing this, we understood that there was a need for a novel solution and hence, we came up with the use of triple duty valves – a valve that combines all the functions and comes at a much lesser price than all combined.
Is the Bell & Gosset Triple Duty Valve as good as using separate check and butterfly valves?
When you install a typical 4-inch wafer style non-slam check valve, you will find that it has a C v between the range 225 to 440. A butterfly valve would approximate to 600. When you install the Bell & Gossett Triple Duty Valve, you would find the net pressure to be under 1 psi, provided the sample flow rate is 200 GPM. Hence, the pressure drop comparisons would be equivalent at different flow rates, meaning our Triple Duty Valve does the job!
In addition to that, our valve has two extra features.
- 1. The function of a commissioning valve–The net pressure readings from our valve will let you know how to set the highest speed for the VFD or how to trim the pump impeller.
- 2. The function of a throttling valve –In case the pump is oversized, due to the overestimation of head losses while designing or due to future plans of expansion, our valve will help throttle the system, just in case your VFD is unable to on its own.
You can minimize your throttling losses and get all the functions of the other valves without the need to install them, if you choose to go for a Bell & Gossett Triple Duty Valve for a minimum pressure drop of 100%.
So, you see, our Triple Duty Valve is much more functional than your regular valves and comes at a much lesser price. Maintenance of all the pumping systems will also reduce with the installation of just one valve instead of three different ones! The hallmark features of our Bell & Gosset Triple Duty Valve
We are not just known for our out-of-the-box design solution; there are many more hallmarks to our Triple Duty Valves.
- Our design is exceptional
Our design is one of a kind. It is not just super user-friendly and affordable, it’s very easy to maintain as well. The calibrated nameplate and design provide precise balance for your HVAC system.
- The Triple Duty Valve safeguards itself
We have integrated a spring-loaded check valve which prevents both backflow and gravity circulation.
- Remove the pump without disturbing the system
The full port ball valve system provides 100% shut-off, meaning you can remove the pump without draining your entire system.
- Superior insulation with no problem during the measurement of net pressure
The extended handles and PT valves make installing insulation as well as measuring pressure very easy.
- Easy to begin again
All the Triple Duty Valves have a memory button which can help return the valve to its initial position after shut-off.
- Robust structure
All valves are made with a brass body, a glass-filled Noryl check valve, brass discs, a chrome plated brass ball, EPDM seats and stainless steel springs. Our valves are here to stay!
We guarantee the functionality of our Triple Duty Valves
If you are thinking, “All that is fine, but these type of valves are not yet in the market; how am I going to trust?” Not to worry. We follow the latest standards of ASHRAE and all our products are tested in all kinds of real world scenarios numerous times before they are released to the public. You can rest assured that these valves are the best and we provide you our guarantee, warranty and not to mention – exceptional customer service! Solve all your piping problems now!
